Spring Pond Openings

Fury Landscaping proven formula for successful Spring pond openings (items marked with * are the mandatery minimum):

• * Biomats and/or filter pads
• * Gel for mats (filter pad bacterial inoculant)
• Microbelift Spring Blend
• * Microbelift PL (beneficial bacteria)
• * Nite Out II (must be used with Microbelift PL Melafix - paracide killer)
• Carefree Sludge Eater
• Laguna Phos-X Phosphate Pads (phosphate remover)
• * Salt

Microbelift  PL, NiteOut II, Melafix and Carefree can be used over 1-2 months, depending on size of pond.

Be sure to check pumps and hose clamps prior to pond opening

One month after opening you should do a water change of 80% to 100%

Winter pond closing

• October - custom built nets to fit individual pond, add solt
• November - pull out pumps, put in heaters
• Placement of circulating pumps or aerators
• Microbelifit Autumn/Winter blend and Microbelifit professional blend
